Top Ten Books Jamie Would Want To Read If Her Book Club Read Adult Fiction

For future Top Ten Tuesday topics & info on how to participate, click here!

I have an amaaaazing YA book club made up of adult ladies (you can read my books I want to read with them) but sometimes I ponder what books I'd like to read/would pick if I had a book club that read adult fiction/non-fiction. I already did a post like this before on my own blog so this is basically part 2 of books I want to read with a book club!

I've just heard amazing things about this one and it looks like it would have a lot to talk about.

Forever, Interrupted by Taylor Jenkins Reid
(just snatched this up for $1.99 on kindle)
I read her book After I Do (which would be an AMAZING book club pick) so I'd want to read this one with others!
I read Matthew Quick's Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock and it was super thought provoking so I'd be hoping this one would be as well!
This has come HIGHLY recommended by some many people and it has won awards!
A lot of people I trust love this one and it just looks like a good book club book that I've been wanting to read for a while!
This premise just sounds AWESOME.
Again, just seems like a good book club pick!

This one soared on to my radar after the Goodreads awards and it looks fantastic!
I read her book, Arranged, and thought it was fun and this one looks like it could be fun but also thought-provoking!

Have you guys read any of these?? Would they make a good book club pick??

  7. The Pearl That Broke Its Shell is my favorite book of 2014 and one I want to read with my book group. It would be excellent for discussion.

I'd love to be part of a YA book club. My evening book group reads both fiction for adults and teens. One of our members teaches 7th grade English and we always have interesting discussions about books for teens and trying to get teens in her class to read more or read for fun.

  10. The only one I've read is Wild and I looooved it. Cheryl Strayed is a talented writer, smart advice-giver and all-around amazing person. Btw, I also have a book group of adults in which we read YA books. It's great fun! (And part of my job so I also get paid for it, which is kind of crazy and amazing.)

  13. I really enjoyed A Tale For the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki. My MIL actually read it at her book club then passed it on to me, so I'd say it's a perfect pick! x

  14. I am currently reading After I Do and wish I was reading it as part of a book club because there's so much to discuss! I'm asking myself so many questions. Most of your other choices are on my TBR list. I particularly want to read the Liza Palmer book.

  16. Too funny, we are actually reading Wild right now. Well...I'm supposed to be. I haven't started it yet, but since we meet soon I better get started!!! O_O LOL! Great list! p.s. I want a Book Club that reads YA Lit!!! Half the time I refuse to read the books they pick and just show up and drink! LOL! I'm a terrible librarian! Oh well.

  20. Forever Interrupted and All The Light We Cannot See also made my list. :) As did another book by Matthew Quick (Silver Linings Playbook). I would love to read After I Do and Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock though.

  22. Life After Life is a great book...just don't try and "read" it via audio book. I made that mistake. It's jumps in time gets confusing when listening as opposed to reading.
