Confessions of Georgia Nicolson

When I saw that Louise Rennison was trending on Twitter, I first assumed that she'd done an interview or released another book. It broke my heart to learn that she had passed away.

She was a brilliantly funny author, I have thoroughly enjoyed her books. A coworker recommended them to me and I devoured the audio books. When life gets a little too stressful or crazy, it's a relief to jump into the world of Georgia Nicolson. You can't take yourself too seriously when you're viewing life through the eyes of someone so delightedly self centered.

Who else has read her books? If you haven't already, I highly recommend them. If you HAVE read them, give the audio books a try. They are a DELIGHT.

  1. I don't know much about the author herself, but I loved Louise Rennison's books and I own a few. My mum texted me this afternoon saying she'd died, and I was instantly sad that there will be no more hilarious books from her. Rennison's books are the funniest I've ever read. Her authorship will be missed.

  2. I was so devastated to learn that she passed away :( I read the first 5 books back when they were published, my friends and I would pass them around at lunch. We LOVED Georgia and her language. Laughing like a loon on loon tablets! I finished the series a few years later and would love to reread sometime. Those books were so zany, funny, and delightful. I laughed out loud hysterically, many times. I'll have to try the audio! I liked her second series a lot too, which starts with Withering Tights. Tallulah is no Georgia but you get the same sort of thrill from the books. Wish we could have gotten more Georgia and Dave the Laugh in the future <3 I'm always happy to find more Louise Rennison fans.

  3. I loved those books so much...still do! Own them all. The cover for Angus is practically falling off. So sad to hear of her passing.
