Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta: So hard to pick just one (it was nearly a tie between this and The Start Of Me & You by Emery Lord). I know I'm SO behind on this one. I love her contemporary books (like they are some of my ALL TIME FAVES) but I can tell this fantasy trilogy is going to be a favorite too. You can read my thoughts here.
Bridget's Pick:Hands down, March's favorite goes to The Martian by Andy Weir. It was amazing—you wouldn't think a book that's 3/4 made up of a guy alone on another planet would be so engrossing, but it was. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone!
The Scandalous Sisterhood of Prickwillow Place by Julie Berry - I reviewed it here while I was in the middle of listening to it, but I'm pleased to report that it ended very well and it is my favorite of the month!
Three Weeks with Lady X by Eloisa James - It was a close one between this and The Silkworm, but I have to give this book the slight edge for entertaining me on two long flights while stuck between my parents.
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas - This book gave me the biggest book hangover of my life. Seriously, this has not happened to me since Twilight (my first book hangover ever). It was more perfect than I could have ever imagined, and I'm in love with everyone. (Jamie here cosigning how amazing this book is!!!)
On Our April TBR
Legend by Marie Lu. My Army wife friends have decided to put together a book club, even though we'll only be able to have a few meetings before we all leave for our next duty stations. April's pick is Legend, and while it's not something I'd normally pick (I'm kind of over dystopian YA), it seems like it'll be a quick, easy read.
Things We Know By Heart by Jessi Kirby: Jessi Kirby is one of my favorite authors and SO SO underrated. If you like Sarah Dessen type reading material, Jessi Kirby's books NEED to be on your shelves. THEY ARE AMAZING. This is her latest and I'm hoping to read it soon! Plus that cover!
Guy in Real Life by Steve Brezenoff: I wouldn't normally pick this one up, but it's my book club's pick so it's up next!
Watchman by Alan Moore, Dave Gibbons (Illustrator/Letterer), John Higgins (Colorist) - My friend gave me this one after it was a book club pick for her. I am super curious to see if I will like it.
Shadowlands by Kate Brian: I have really been wanting a great thriller, and I've heard wonderful things about this series! Sounds so creepy!
What was your favorite book you read in March? What's on your TBR for April??
My favorite book read in March was Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira (I listened to it- it was par of the 2015 Hub Challenge) my review on Goodreads - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1215552513ReplyDelete
