So this week instead of talking about books, we're talking about our favourite movies or tv shows. I'm going to focus on TV shows, because let's just face it, I can be found staring at the TV for hours at a time if one of these shows is on.
I have binge-watched the 3 seasons of this show in about 3 months. And it only took me that long because I caught up to the airings and had to wait along with the rest of you for the next episode to be on TV. I LOVE this show. It is awesome. Zoe is awesome, though the portrayal of GPs isn't completely accurate in my opinion (I'm training to be one, but maybe it's just different here in Holland?), but it's still entertainment and also: WADE! I cannot deal with all my feelings. This show made me cry at the end of season 2. If you watch the show, you'll know what I mean.
This is such a guilty pleasure for me! I love watching this show, though sometimes I get frustrated when things aren't revealed cause I just want to knoooooooowwwww.
I've been addicted to this show ever since I first saw it when season 3 was airing. I think we've now had cycle 20 and I'm still glued to the TV when it comes on. I watch it together with one of my best friends and it is awesome (our boyfriends don't appreciate it that much though ;) ).
OMG THIS SHOW!! Also: THE BOOKS! If I ever had an obsession, this world and the characters that George R.R. Martin has created is it. Kelly, Kimberly and I have a chat on our phones going about this :)
This show is SO good! I love Sheldon and Leonard, I even have a shirt with lines from Sheldon and a rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock shirt. I think this show is hilarious.
I'm so sad that this show ended because it was just amazing, I loved seeing the transformation Betty went through while staying through to herself, and it was just funny and OMG I NEED A MOVIE OR SOMETHING.
I love this show even though sometimes it's just slow and it feels like they'll never get to the point, but then I love it again and all's well in the world. Also, everything is better when Hook is involved. Seriously.
OMG, I haven't seen the third season yet, but OMG I just need to convince my boyfriend to watch it with me because I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!! This series is seriously addictive.
I used to watch this show ALL the time, I was obsessed with witches and everything even remotely witchy and yes to so much girl power in a show!
Buffy is another show I watched religiously as a kid. Buffy is still one of the coolest girls I know, and also this show made nerd girls cool and it has Giles who is also awesome. And now I want to watch the whole thing again.
So those are 10 of my favourite TV shows, what about you? I feel like I forgot one, but I can't remember, so let me know what you're watching and what I should start watching because UGH it's summer and everything but Pretty Little Liars is on break and I need something new to watch!! So recommendations?

ReplyDeleteI love OUAT most of the time, but sometimes it's frustrating how slow everything develops, but I did love the season finale!
DeleteAll of my favorite TV shows are limited runs: The Voice; Ninja Warrior; America's Got Talent; or cooking/food shows: Throw Down with Bobby Flay; Diners/Drive-ins/Dives; Cupcake Wars; Great American Bake-off. My list is movies.

DeleteSo I pretty much loved ALL of these shows! Once Upon a Time and Buffy made my list because <333, but I'd completely forgotten about Charmed! I got super hooked on PLL for a while, but then the drama got too much for me, so I stopped somewhere around season 2 or 3 :-/, and I haven't seen enough of BBT to have it as a favourite, although I've found it pretty funny so far. And I want to watch Homeland so badly! Gah!! And for some reason I can't get the picture - is that Ugly Betty (I'm assuming from the name Betty?) If so then *SQUEES* I freaking LOVE that show! I still haven't watched the last season (..I tend to procrastinate when I know something has ended and then I get all sad), but there is just so much to love about that show. Diversity, culture, family, drama, appearance...I might go finish that season now...
ReplyDeleteYes I meant Ugly Betty! That show is just LOVE! I do the same thing usually, but I hadn't realised it was about to end and was like NOOOO WHAT? WHY DOES THIS END? But it's totally worth it to watch the final episode!
DeleteFun list! I am working my way through BBT and OUAT and I watched the first season of Hart of Dixie! I also am currently watching Buffy (and Angel) for the first time and I'm loving it!

ReplyDeleteI'm a huge Once Upon A Time Fan. (I'm obsessed with Rumplestiltskin & Belle). My grandma, of all people, got me into The Big Bang Theory. I'm not sure what is funnier--the show, or wondering if she "gets" half of it. My brother is begging me to start watching Game of Thrones and one of my best friends swears by Pretty Little Liars. As for Buffy? I'm actually doing a full series watch right now. I started watching that when it aired, but I got MAD (hey--I was in high school back then!) when things went awry for Buffy & Angel.
Anyway, I had a lot of fun reading your list. Thanks for sharing. :)

DeleteHart of Dixie is one of my favorite shows! There's a lot about it that's not accurate but its such a guilty pleasure that you just go with the flow...Also loved Charmed and Buffy and hate that they went off the air but we'll always have the DVDs.

I've heard that Game of Thrones is REALLY good. I don't watch much TV, but I'm going to read the books soon. I will have to catch up on the TV series once I read the books.

DeleteI love your list! The Big Bang Theory is my favorite show! My boyfriend and I never miss an episode. I also love Charmed. I impulse bought the entire show on DVD (my wallet really missed that $100...lol) but then watched all eight seasons in just a couple of months! It quickly became one of my favorite shows.
ReplyDeleteBig Bang Theory t-shirts are the best. I have one that has the friendship algorithm on it, as well as a Bazinga one, and one that has some Sheldon quotes also. Sheldon quotes are the best.

I LOVE Hart of Dixie and if I had been thinking it may have actually be on my list! Wade is so adorable yet frustrating and yes! about crying at the end of season 2! So good! Thanks for a great list!

DeleteOUAT and Buffy made my list, too. :) I watch PLL, too, but not religiously. I always end up letting those build up on the DVR until I'm forced to erase them because we run out of space. But that's the hubby's fault, not mine. He watches WAY too much TV. :)

DeleteThe only show I've seen on your list is Buffy. Loved Buffy and Angel. I don't watch much TV, so I can't fill a Top 10 List. The only shows on my current list would be: Castle, Sherlock and Doctor Who!

DeleteANTM used to be one of my guilty pleasures. I've since moved on to cooking competition shows (which I still consider guilty pleasures, even though I learn a lot from them). Sometimes I miss ANTM, but there just isn't enough time for that and all the books, too.

DeleteI watched the first season of OUAT but I couldn't be bothered to continue past the first episode of season 2...I don't know what it is. I think I just can't handle that much Disney in my life (I work at Disneyland). I think it's one of those shows I'll have to binge-watch once it's all over.
ReplyDeleteANTM on the other hand, I LOVE. One of those shows that I can watch over and over and over again. I love when they run the ANTM marathons on Oxygen and other channels. I'm very unproductive on those days.
Working at Disneyland sounds awesome! But I get how you could get tired of all the fairytaleness by it.

ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with Big Bang Theory. We don't get cable to I have to either keep up with it on hulu (which doesn't happen) or wait until I can buy. It feels like forever away! I've also heard a lot about OUAT as well.
