So I'm not entirely sure how much this baby will allow me to read (and hopefully she's here by the time you read this --- note from Jamie....SHE IS! CONGRATS DAISY!), but here are the books that are coming out this Spring that I'm hoping to squeeze in between feeding, changing diapers and general babyness.
1. A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas: OBVIOUSLY this is on my list and probably everyone and their great aunt's list. After the ending of A Court of Mist and Fury I NEED this. Like yesterday. I'm gonna need a babysitter when this lands in my mailbox.
2. The Fallen Kingdom by Elizabeth May: this is also the last in a series that I LOVE. It's one of those underrated gems in my opinion and one of the few books about the fae that I actually like (like the ACOTAR series), I cannot wait to get my hands on this one!
3. Romancing the Throne by Nadine Jolie Courtney: this sounds like it'll be filled with lots of fun and DRAMA and has a prince and just YES.
4. Flame in the Mist by Renée Ahdieh: If you haven't read The Wrath and the Dawn yet, you should get on that and then join me in fangirling over it and going OMG I NEED THIS NEW BOOK over Flame in the Mist. Renée Ahdieh is a genius.
5. Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han: I'm a bit torn about this one, because I really liked the first book in the series, but then the second was disappointing and I just need this to be awesome. Fingers crossed!
6. Avenged by Amy Tinera: Ruined was AMAZING and I can't wait for the sequel!
7. The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli: this is probably also one of those most anticipated books. I was WAY late to the party when it came to Simon (I actually read it a couple of weeks ago), but I'm jumping on the bandwagon and YAY for another book by this wonderful author!
8. Shadowcaster by Cinda Williams Chima: my love for the Seven Realms series knows no bounds and while the first in this series that is set in the same universe kinda broke my heart, it was also amazing and I cannot wait for the next book in this series!
9. A Crown of Wishes by Roshani Chokshi: I really enjoyed The Star-Touched Queen and this one sounds every bit of awesome.
10. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor: confession: I've never actually read anything by Laini Taylor before BUT this sounds AMAZING and I want it!
So, that's it for me, let me know what's on your TBR list and what I should definitely add to mine!
CONGRATS on your new addition, Daisy. Wishing you much joy. :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your spring TBR. Hope you discover some great reads - 'Lara Jean' is on my perpetual would-be TBR too. But first I suppose I should read book one. :)
Congrats Daisy!! Those books look fantastic, I hope you have time for most of them!
ReplyDeleteI've read almost all of Jenny Han's books this year. So that one is on my list too.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I missed the bit about the birth. Congrats!
DeleteCongratulations! And don't miss out on Laini Taylor's writing. She's brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI see some familiar authors on this list. Some I didn't know have new books. Yay!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! And I'm also mega excited about ACoWaR! (although somehow I forgot to even put it on my list?)
ReplyDeleteI can't WAIT for a Court of Wings and Ruin ... you've mentioned some I haven't heard of, though, so I'm adding to my TBR. Woot!
ReplyDeleteWow.. congratulations!!! I hope you have an awesome week (which I know you have now) and enjoy all the books you're planning to read. :-D
ReplyDeleteCongrats Daisy!! And yay for ACOWAR!!! That made my list too! also excited for Flame in the Mist!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
We share a few entries! (ACOWAR was my #1 too). I read Upside and it was super cute. Good luck! I hope you read them all.

Congratulations on the new baby!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for A Court of Wings and Ruin either. Flame in the Mist is also on my list and I should have put Romancing the Throne on there. It sounds like fun.
Congratulations Daisy! This is such a fertile blog :P
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the baby! Hope she's a good sleeper- or at least likes to be read to so you can get to Strange the Dreamer, which I loved!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new arrival! Throne of Glass is on my top ten this week, so I'm a long way from reading her latest. It is on my TBR list along with Jenny Han's latest. Hopefully you will find time to enjoy all of these.

I really need to read the Lara Jean series by Jenny Han. And I have Strange the Dreamer to read as well and looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteI got a TON of books read whenever I had a new baby because I had no choice but to sit down and feed it every couple hours. Once we'd bonded well, I'd spend most of our nursing sessions with a baby in one arm and a book in the other hand. Happy times!
Look at all those excellent new releases on your TBR! I feel like I'm still just trying to catch up from last year (and the year before...and before that...). Adding Romancing the Throne to my list. Sounds really great. Many of the others (particularly Crown of Wishes, Jenny Han, and Elizabeth May) are already on my list :)
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I read The Upside of Unrequited recently and adored it - it's probably going to be one of my favourites of this year.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Jamie!!! That's so exciting! <3
ReplyDeleteI have The Falconer out from the library and I think I'm going to love it so glad to hear that you really enjoyed the series! :)
STRANGE THE DREAMER, OH MY GOSH yes - Laini Taylor's books are fantastic and I'm SO excited to read that one!
I'm excited about a lot of these books as well.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the birth!
Congrats on the baby!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the new edition, Daisy! I'm with you on Always and Forever Lara Jean. I can't wait until it releases!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the baby, Daisy! ^_^
ReplyDeleteLots of books/series on my TBR here, but nothing I've managed to start yet. XD I'm hoping to read COTAR soon, now that the series is finished.
Romancing the Throne is one I've not heard of but that cover is so fantastic I have to check it out!
Ooh, you have some really good picks here! I'm very excited about A Crown of Wishes since I loved The Star Touched Queen. I'm hoping it will be every bit as beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Daisy! I hope she'll let you get to some of these; you can get her started on reading early!
ReplyDeleteI sent in an email with suggested topics and didn't hear back from anyone. Did you get them? Do want me to resend them? Anne@HeadfullofBooks email: DARCBennett AT comcast DOT net
