Me on my balcony in Maui |
Today I actually have a backlog of three books that I could write reviews for, all of which I liked at least, Every Day, Three Weeks with Lady X and The Silkworm. But unfortunately for you guys I am on vacation and want to sit out in the sun and read instead of write up a review. Sorry about that all.
So instead, while I bask in the Maui sun and jump of waterfalls (I screamed like a girl once I worked up the courage to jump!), I want you guys to talk about the upcoming spring and summer months. Who is going on some cool vacations? Tell us about them!
This vacation is the first family vacation we have been on together in seven years. I am super stoked to leave the cold Ohio winter-spring season to burn all of my skin off in the Hawaii sun. I got so red between snorkeling and whale watching. Anyway, that's enough about me. What about you guys?
Tell me about your upcoming or recent vacations. If you don't have any planned, tell me about your dream vacations!
After a long time of saving (literally, years) I'm going on a Viking Cruise in June with my sister. It's our 30th birthday co-celebration and I'm so excited. Hawaii sounds so nice right now, it's going to be 28 degrees here tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a blast! I am glad your trip is finally almost here! Hope you have a great time :)
DeleteHave fun on your vacation! My husband, my son and myself just spent 10 days in Panama. We loved it! We experienced the culture, learned some new Spanish words and ate some delicious food. You can read about our trip to the Pearl Islands in my blog post: http://www.hellopassport.com/pearls-islands-what-to-know-before-you-go/
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a super fun time. Learning about culture and experiencing how different people live their lives is one of my favorite things about traveling. Glad you had a great time!
DeleteNo vacations planned, but my dream vacation would involve equi-trekking: preferably a trip to Iceland where they do the cross country trip on the Icelandic ponies...although sometimes I fantasize about a desert island in the middle of nowhere filled with books and its just hours of undisturbed reading.

I've never heard of eqi-trekking. That sounds like an experience! And a desert island in the middle of nowhere filled with books? Sign me up!
DeleteI am living in Naples, Italy for the next few years (I am from the States) and I just came back from Florence, Italy. At the end of April, I will be going to London! So excited. Have fun on your trip!
ReplyDeleteThats great! I am so jealous. I loved Italy when I went there years ago. And being in Europe for an extended period of time is awesome because you are just a hop skip and a jump from so many cool destinations. Enjoy!
DeleteMy dream vacation is a world cruise. It'll likely never happen, but a girl can hope. It would be such a great way to get a taste of so many countries.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Maybe someday, right? I want to see everything that I can and a cruise would be a great way to just get a taste of it all.
DeleteHave a great vacation - looks like paradise. And ya keep those reviews on hold and just enjoy all that sun and warmth!
ReplyDeleteI just got back from the Dominican and posted about reading on vacation this past week, I actually read five books during my trip and absorbed tons of sunshine.
Can't wait to see more pictures of your trip. :)
It was such a good time. The weather is just starting to get better back at home so it was a great preview of what's to come.
DeleteI'm planning a vacation to Russia in June. I've been wanting to go there forever! There's a lot of bureaucracy involved in getting a visa, but I really think it will be worth it. I'll be going to St. Petersburg and Moscow and I really cannot wait. Visiting new places is the best thing ever!
ReplyDeleteSo envious!! Russia is on my bucket list of places to visit for sure!
