This week's topic: Top Ten 2016 Releases We Meant to Read But Didn't Get Around To (But TOTALLY plan to)
Julia's Picks:
1. Shadowbound by Bec McMaster: A new series from Bec McMaster!! I want it in my hands and in my already read shelf with five stars hopefully.
2. All the Birds in the Sky by Charlie Jane Anders: One of my co-workers gave me this book about six months ago and told me I would enjoy it. So it's been in my house and on my shelf since. Hopefully I can get around to it soon.
3. Duke of Sin by Elizabeth Hoyt: I fell off the romance bandwagon last year and thus most of the series' that I follow religiously because a little less so... thus I want to get back on this train!!
Daisy's Picks:
4. P.S. I Like You by Kasie West: I LOVE Kasie West and this sounds adorable and the cover is just the cutest, I really need to pick this up soon!5. My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows: I've enjoyed books by all of these ladies separately and now they've come together to create this? NEED IT.
6. The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson: I've heard everybody raving about this and I need to just get it together and pick it up!
Kimberly's Picks:
7. A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab: I was so so excited for this! Preordered and everything. And... I'm just now reading it at this moment. Oops?
8. Aerie by Maria Dahvana Headley: I LOVED Magonia. Right up my alley. I've read it once and listened to it again. I was SO ready for Aerie. But somehow oi just haven't finished it. I started the audio book while I was painting my kitchen and then my phone boot looped (essentially it turned into a brick. Do NOT buy the LG G4!!) And... I still haven't gotten to it. Soon!
Jamie's Picks:
9. The Midnight Star by Marie Lu: I was so excited for this because I LOVE this series but then I went through a crazy reading slump since the fall basically and never got to it. HIGH on my priority list for this year!!
10. The Girl From Everywhere by Heidi Heilig: This was one of my most anticipated debuts of this year and I just never got to it but the sequel is coming out so I plan to finally read it!!
What books are on your list??
I want to read all of Daisy's Picks as well!
ReplyDeletePS I Like You and Unexpected Everything are both brilliant. I haven't got to Girl From Everywhere or My Lady Jane either... need more hours in the day!
ReplyDeleteAhh, some great picks there and a few on my own TBR! I need to read about 1000 books a year to catch up. 😳
ReplyDeleteNice! This reminds me I still need to read The Rose Society as well as The Midnight Star!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I seriously could have added all of yours (and My Lady Jane did make my list) to my list as well (although I did get to A Gathering of Shadows). I seriously feel that I started 2016 behind and never caught up.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I Like You is one that I really wanted to read, but couldn't get to. The list is MUCH longer than ten books if Im honest lol!
ReplyDeleteAll the Birds was brilliant and I enjoyed The Unexpected Everything.
ReplyDeleteMy Lady Jane made my list. Thankfully it is my book club pick for next month so I can read it then. The Unexpected Everything was good and The Midnight Star was fantastic. It was one of my favorite books of the year.
ReplyDeletePS I Like You is on my list too! I've heard nothing but good things about it.
ReplyDeleteGreat prompt! Although I'm quite embarrassed about my list :P haha

The Girl From Everywhere is also on my list. Another one on my list is If I Were Your Girl by Meredith Russo. I only had about 20 releases from 2016 on my TBR but they all look really good!
ReplyDeleteP.S I like You made my list aswell! These are some great choices. Hopefully you all can get to them soon! Happy Readings!
ReplyDelete-Amanda Margaret Hearts Stories
P.S. I like you is on my list as well.
ReplyDeleteMegan @reading away the days
A Gathering of Shadows is so good. I love that series.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I also have My Lady Jane glaring at me from my bookshelf. *sighs*
ReplyDeleteMost of these books are on my TBR, and the only one I've actually read is P.S. I Like You (which was adorable, like all Kasie West books).

Any Morgan Matson's book is a treat! Hope you get to that one soon and like it!
