4. Maria V. Snyder -- I loved Poison Study, but never finished the series or read any of her others! I've heard such great things about them, so I really need to get on that.

6. Gabriel Garcia Marquez -- Technically I've read two novel by him, but he had such a large list of novels, novellas, and stories to his name that I need to read more.

8. Jessi Kirby -- Golden was such an unexpected love for me and I can't wait to see what else she can do!
9. Tahereh Mafi -- I can't believe I've only read Shatter Me! I do own the other two books in the series, so I'll be sure to remedy this!
10. Veronica Rossi -- Same goes for Veronica Rossi, I ADORED Under the Never Sky and PERRY! And I can't believe I haven't read the other books in the series!

I considered adding LaCour to my list, too. So many authors don't get the love they deserve.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Shatter Me, I read the first book and have yet to read the others.
ReplyDeleteGood list! For Guy Gavriel Kay, I suggest The Fionnavar Tapestry, a trilogy. (To be honest, they are the only books by him I've read… But they're very good.)
ReplyDeleteSame, re: Guy Gavriel Kay. I liked Tigana, just never picked up any more of his books. Never continued past Poison Study either, though I've like other books by Maria Snyder. I think I was satisfied by the first book so didn't feel the urgency to continue.
ReplyDeleteI see Fitzgerald on your list...I loved Gatsby and subsequently tried The Beautiful and the Damned and This Side of Paradise. Paradise was literally painful to get through. B&D was ok, but I still put it down fairly early on. Sad :(
ReplyDeleteTahereh Mafi almost made my list, too. I've only read Shatter Me, just like Daisy! I have had every intention of continuing the series, but other things have gotten in the way.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I hope I get to read Poison Study soon! I've really been aching to look into Maria V. Snyder's work :)
ReplyDeleteI've read the entire Selection series. Jana...you definitely need to continue the series.
ReplyDeleteThis was my first time participating in the wetly meme -- it made me realize how valuable the bookclubs I am in are for exposing me to awesome authors. Thanks for coming up with the topic!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree on Guy Gabriel Kay and Tigana -- it was beautiful prose and a wonderful stand alone story. That can be hard to get in fantasy anymore!
Thank you for hosting again this week.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any books by your authors.
Have a blessed week!
Daisy, I have also read only one book by Guy Gavriel Kay (Last Light of the Sun), really enjoyed it, and then never read anything else by him. It's been so long I forgot to put him on my TTT, but I will add Tigana to my TBR list!
ReplyDeleteI really liked Past Perfect by Leila Sales. Nina LaCour was on my long list as I've heard great things but have only read The Disenchantments.
ReplyDeleteThis post reminded me to add F. Scott Fitzgerald to my list. I also own more of his books that I just haven't read yet, but I really want to check them out.
ReplyDeleteMaria V. Snyder's work is a lot of fun. I'm gonna reread some of it soon, I think.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Guy Gavriel Kay! He's amazing. I'd try to pick a favourite, but I can't.
Oh Gabriel Garcia Marquez: how I agree. I'm obsessed.
ReplyDeleteI would have to put Neil Gaiman. I just started reading 'Stardust' and have loved, loved it.
