That's a pretty tough question. I think I'd start out with Cinder by Marissa Meyer. Then probably Divergent and Insurgent and then start in on the Iron Fey series. :-)

Chesnutt's The Marrow of Tradition and I'd like to get that, because I'm not only interested in the story but also in the real life coup d'etat that Chesnutt fictionalizes. I'm sure the Norton edition would have lots of good background information on that.
