Top ten books to movies we just can't wait for!

Jana's Pick

1 -- The 5th Wave - I can't wait for this movie! I love the book a lot, and I'm so excited to see how it translates to the big screen.

Julia's Picks

2 -- Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II - I am so excited to see the ending to this series in a few weeks! I think that based on the previous movies this has the potential to be really amazing.

3 -- Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - I will always be excited to see more in the Harry Potter universe. I am really interested to see how they are going to do this; it's a movie based on a fake text book. I also think that this will be an interesting setup for future movies in the Harry Potter Universe.

4 -- Deadpool - I have not read much of the comic series, but I am so excited for this movie. I know Deadpool from some games I've played and general internet hype. But I cannot wait for a rated R comic book movie with a snarky anti-hero lead!

Bridget's Picks

5 -- The Martian - I've heard a lot of great things about this adaptation, and for the first time in a LONG time I'm actually excited to see a movie based on a book! My husband finally finished it and now I think it might be time to go see the movie! I wouldn't be too sad to wait to see it on DVD; I'm not the biggest fan of movie theaters. But I might just have to go!

Jamie's Picks

6 -- Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children : I seriously cannot wait for this!!

7 -- All The Bright Places: It's slated for 2017 and I cannot waiiiiit!!

Daisy's Picks

I second Mockingjay Part II and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and I would LOVE for Vicious to be made into a movie! That would be amazing!

8 -- The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling - I'm excited to see what they'll do with the story this time!

9 -- Alice Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll - I totally loved the first movie they did with this cast, so I'm excited for this!

10 -- Beauty and the Beast by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve - Do you guys sense a theme here as well? I can't wait for this, it has the most amazing set of actors in it, including Emma Watson, Dan Stevens and Ian McKellen!

And two books Lauren WISHES were made into movies!!

Lauren's Picks

Vicious by V.E. Schwab - I don't think anyone has bought the rights to this movie yet or that's anything is in the works, but DANG IT... it should be. It would make for an amazing movie.

The Silo Series by Hugh Howey - C'mon now. Why haven't these books been made into movies yet? Or at the very least... the SyFy channel could make a mini-series!

Same thing for Beauty & the Beast that is my favorite Disney movie. Also first I'm hearing about an Alice sequel. Just YouTubed it and OMG! Oh and Vicious would be a fun movie I hope they make it!

  10. Deadpool and Beauty and the Beast are good calls. (Not that Deadpool's making a cameo in Beauty and Beast as that would be a tad random... but could be an hilarious comic!). The trailer for Jungle Book looks intriguing, for sure!!
