I read, read, read all summer but I often do it actively by listening as I walk or exercise or in the car on long road trips.Anne@HeadFullofBookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01069558006454986084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5345948308406299194.post-42328148137872832302016-06-20T15:30:01.231-04:002016-06-20T15:30:01.231-04:00I feel the same, my summer TBR is so neglected :( ...I feel the same, my summer TBR is so neglected :( but I try to always carry a book with me to read whenever the mood strikes even if it's just a few pages. I love being outdoors in the summer, especially here in Southern Ontario where I'm surrounded by beautiful trails, parks, and beaches! Great locations for some outdoor reading :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06780536656358693303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5345948308406299194.post-10589744292735013502016-06-16T14:27:43.899-04:002016-06-16T14:27:43.899-04:00Summer is usually a time that I read more, but mos...Summer is usually a time that I read more, but mostly because I read outside and have less distractions than when I am reading inside and I have the computer or tv on ;) But I do also spend more time hanging out with friends and such, I'm just more effective when I do have the time to read.Daisyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11468649356197119023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5345948308406299194.post-38288503284379574072016-06-16T13:21:00.147-04:002016-06-16T13:21:00.147-04:00Yay Ohio! Summer used to be my ultimate reading but now because of Netflix and Hulu and the kids activities,I'm lucky if I can read a book a month. punkfariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09109080360232759063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5345948308406299194.post-61113403660408384502016-06-16T12:16:57.151-04:002016-06-16T12:16:57.151-04:00I never understood summer reading, or rather, it n...I never understood summer reading, or rather, it never applied to me. Even when I was in school and had the summers free. Summer meant hanging out with friends, going to the beach, and I didn't read at the beach. I was too busy talking with my friends. Once I started working, it was year 'round and now that I'm retired, I still have the same amount of time to read every season. I read what I want to read, what I'm in the mood to read. To be honest, I tend to read more on cold or rainy days when I'm stuck indoors. Summer often means nice weather and the chance to go for walks, take photos, just get some fresh air.ShellyShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14183404615688013084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5345948308406299194.post-89959717286591981692016-06-16T11:12:48.151-04:002016-06-16T11:12:48.151-04:00I get almost no reading done in the summer. I read for a few minutes at night, but that's about it.

Dena @ Batch of BooksBatch of Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08011267256741853797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5345948308406299194.post-42001437612120577962016-06-16T10:56:39.937-04:002016-06-16T10:56:39.937-04:00I live in the Deep South. So I do a lot of reading on vacation in July and to relax from my busy work days in August. For me reading ticks up just a notch over the summer months, but I never read the giant summer TBR pile I make for myself. I myself cannot handle the heat and the sun. I turn into a zombie. The only thing left for me to do is to sit at home and read. There is usually a chunk of time in the mid afternoon where not much is going on and I can read for a good 2-3 hours solid. It's quiet. There's shade, and a gorgeous view.
