She's as big of a book nerd as I am. That's why we blog together. So often, if she goes to an event she'll get me a book, like my beautiful signed Seraphina. My husband doesn't really give me books but he does give me gifts that feed my reading habit. Over the years he's given me two kindles and an audible subscription. Fabulous gifts that I use every day!JoLeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17438524150569815118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5345948308406299194.post-86299132449076814572015-09-27T16:28:04.564-04:002015-09-27T16:28:04.564-04:00No one buys books for me, I've never actually ...No one buys books for me, I've never actually asked them to. My whole family and family in-law knows to get me B&N giftcards and just let me go from there. My TBR list is constantly changing, I'm pretty fickle, so this system works the best. One year I got a kindle for christmas, and this year I am getting a ticket to BookCon :)Sarahhttp://thecountrybookworm.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5345948308406299194.post-82264995017382051452015-09-24T19:37:15.606-04:002015-09-24T19:37:15.606-04:00Every year my younger brother tells me that he doe...Every year my younger brother tells me that he doesn't want to buy me any books this year and that I need to come up with something else. I usually give books as gifts not considering if that person loves to read or not, but always I pick a book that I think that that person will like it.
Silvyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16607520361647030801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5345948308406299194.post-72527672182136879182015-09-24T10:22:20.497-04:002015-09-24T10:22:20.497-04:00Ha! I'm always afraid they'll take one look at my book collection and say it's enough, but so far they haven't (plus my grandmother had an entire library of books so I think they just chalk it up as something I inherited from her!).Becky LeJeunehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01030931605009567165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5345948308406299194.post-9540129838704863522015-09-24T09:43:30.328-04:002015-09-24T09:43:30.328-04:00My daughter will order me books off my Amazon Wish...My daughter will order me books off my Amazon Wish List, but no one else will.Mac n' Janethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05732924562630675589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5345948308406299194.post-35581906024644265812015-09-24T09:26:22.848-04:002015-09-24T09:26:22.848-04:00Every year I make a book wish list and every year ...Every year I make a book wish list and every year my family ignore it because I already have way too many books! If I give him a list, he will systematically get everything on it so I am usually careful and only ask for a few I really want. He also likes to give Amazon gift cards with other Birthday and Christmas gifts which is fine with me. Other family members and friends never get me books. Go figure.Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07496803823870196862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5345948308406299194.post-25491286157283371082015-09-24T08:03:44.574-04:002015-09-24T08:03:44.574-04:00I can absolutely relate to that. I'm French and read in English so it's easier to find the books I want online anyway.
But every year, either the wishlist gets completely overlooked and I get random things and Sephora gift cards (I still have one from last November and don't know how to use it), or people tell me that they weren't able to find anything in their local stores.
This absolutely baffles me and I don't understand it.Marionhttp://theilliteratereader.comnoreply@blogger.com
